Michael McLernon is Vice President of People at Instacart, where he leads the company's People organization and strategy. 

McLernon joined Instacart in 2021 and  brings more than 20 years of experience in human resources, with deep expertise designing programs that recognize, reward and support employees. Prior to joining Instacart, he led compensation and people programs at LinkedIn, where he shaped the company’s talent strategy and global approach to compensation, with a focus on pay for performance, market competitiveness and equitable pay practices. McLernon has also held management and consulting roles at lynda.com, Goldman Sachs and Mercer.

McLernon is the executive sponsor of Parents@, which connects and supports parents at Instacart. He is a graduate of The George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Business Administration and Philosophy.
